2 months!

Lauren is 2 months old today!
She is growing up - weighing in at 9 lbs and 21 inches today!
Here is her side-by-side with her doggie pillow.
I had to include the crying shot. She can go from smile to frown and back again in seconds.

Last weekend we took a little roadtrip to Sundance.
Along the way we stopped to take in the view of Mt Timpanogos.

A few more photos from this week for your viewing pleasure:

Murder Mystery! 1960's style

Last weekend Garett and I were invited to a Murder Mystery, held by a friend of mine (you might have heard of her) - Ashley Pearce Carrell (http://www.televisionisoverrated.com/) We had a blast and Garett was totally in his element.  He must have learned to act while at sailing camp or something!

Because of some really awesome friends (shout out to Kami and Michelle), I was able to borrow some 1960's dresses and even had several choices:

Ultimately, I went with the tulip sleeves, hippy look. Topped off perfectly with hoop earrings and a peace necklace, compliments of my sister and niece. (Thank you Stacia and Elise!)

Garett's character was a bad-boy drummer who ultimately was found out to have attempted to murder a member of a competing band.  My character wasn't as innocent as she appeared either, guilty of sabotaging an important competition between the bands.

And Lauren, sweet Lauren. She played herself - groovy as can be chillin' in her carseat in Ashley's backyard.

7 weeks and 4th of July

Lauren is 7 weeks old today!
She's more alert, likes to stare at anything black & white, and is smiling at the sound of her daddy's voice. She also really likes to be outside, either in her bouncy while I do yardwork, or in her Baby Bjorn on a walk with Calvin & Sadie. I can't get out the Baby Bjorn anymore without Sadie getting all excited.

A friend of mine gave me the great idea of taking Lauren's picture with her dog pillow as she grows. I took the one below on the 4th of July - Lauren's favorite holiday. She was happy as can be through two nights of fireworks - more than I can say for Calvin!

Today we practiced taking naps in her crib.
Between her swing, the carseat and friends & family, Lauren hasn't had to sleep in her crib except at night.
It was no small task for today and we'll be working on it again tomorrow!
